Although the projected completion time was longer than expected, the home is great and the sales/contracting teams were very professional. Although, I feel that construction workers really should not leave their food and beverage garbage in someone's home. We visited the site on a weekly basis and there was always garbage just throw all over place when there was a huge dumpster right outside on the lot. This profile has not been claimed by the company. Labeled Verified, they’re about genuine experiences. There are a large number of issues that we pointed out prior to closing. They fixed some of them but once we closed, it is difficult to get any help to finish up with the issues. So far, only one issue had been scheduled for repair, but the worker did not call or show up and I have not been able to get a response from anyone since.

The block next to us, started after our street, started after our foundation was already in place for 4 months, and most of the block has people living on it. Excuse after excuse, about how they can't keep crews, the block next to us is Richmond as well. They do not seem to have a problem keeping people. My realtor has been doing this for over 20 years including recent builds and has never seen such poor building ever.
To me, this is just as important as not having any problems at all with our home. I think some people that have never owned a home in the past may ("renters" ) naturally have much higher expectations and needs which can lead to them being unhappy with a new home. Your building a new home, YOU ARE A HOMEOWNER NOW AND HAVE TO TAKE CERTAIN RESPONSIBILITIES FOR YOUR NEW HOME...you CANT call your landlord anymore to come out and fix YOUR HOME.... And yes, I did shop around and found that for me, American Homes of Richfield Springs was the best fit, and I encourage you to do the same for yourself!
The manager is a wacko and likes to talk about his guns and how the world is coming to an end. Think about this the reps make 30,000 a year flat but with commissions they make 70,80,even 100. Stay away from them G and I homes is smaller and they really care. This builder’s customer satisfaction information has been verified by Avid Ratings for authenticity and validity.
Since the home came in appraised under the final purchase price... Richmond refused to allow me to buy down my rate and use my incentive the way I wanted to because it would've allowed me to walk from the home per VA regs. Criminal and forced tactics in ensuring they can continue to sell a poor product. I don't recommend ANYONE builds with these clowns ever.
